The Digital Trust Laboratory of Canada (DTLab) is delighted to announce the opening of registrations for its Digital Identity Assessment and Training Program, an initiative supported by the City of Gatineau. With cyber threats soaring and financial losses from fraud in Canada more than triplingfrom $165 million in 2020 to $554 million in 2023, small and medium-sized businesses must urgently bolster their security measures. In doing so, it contributes to the ongoing fight against cybercrime and fraud.

Program highlights
Launch Event (April 29 – 4 pm to 6 pm):Networking event and technology showcase with industry members, presented in partnership with ID Gatineau.
May 7, (9 am to 12:30 pm): Introduction to digital identity and digital credentials, their importance and application in Canada and around the world.
: May 14 (9 am to 12:30 pm): In-depth on confidentiality, privacy, and assurance levels and group workshop to identify the foundations of a digital credentials program and various possible use cases.
In-house workshop (July-September 2024): Workshop (online or in-person) to assess readiness to create a tailored digital credential use case and implementation roadmap for your business.
Who can participate? We are accepting a maximum of 15 Gatineau-based SMEs or organizations wishing to increase their digital security. Don’t delay, places are limited. A maximum of two (2) participants per organization can attend the online training.
Is the course offered in person or online? The course is offered online through the Zoom platform. The launch event is in person and the in-house workshop may be online or in-person.
In what language is the training being offered: This exclusive training program is being offered in French only.
